It all begins with an idea.

Summary:

Kalliope, a dimensional time traveler, returns to their timeline after a long absence only to find destruction and desolation. In a desperate attempt to reclaim their universe from its end, they request an audience with the multiverse’s three Time Gods, Ambrosi, Dari, and Neo. After they deny the request to resurrect a dead timeline, Kalliope challenges them to an impossible set of time trials to take control of the gods' powers and reinstate their world themself. Ronlind, a secretary of these time gods, is sent to watch over Kalliope’s tests. Eventually, after Kalliope’s final attempt and failure, he decides that he could maybe lend a hand. Thrilled by this development, the Time Gods grant Kalliope one last chance to prove themself.

Setting:

The limbo that exists between the very folds of space and time itself. Complete silence, as if this realm is devoid of sound unless it is intentionally created by something.

Characters:

KALLIOPE ~ Mid-Late 20s (time is slowly starting to disappear to her), Any Race, Any gender

  • Kalliope is lonely, grieving, and hopeful with twinges of hopelessness. No matter what happens, they do not give up. They are stubborn and independent, an unstoppable force of resourcefulness and creativity.

    • Kalliope does not fear death, but rather, life without meaning.

    • They can feel the essence of time weighing on them less and less as the time trials continue, but do not understand what is happening.

    • Kalliope starts the play obsessed with independence, and craving the status quo they once knew.

      • Want: They want to restore what they lost.

      • Conflict: They do not have the power to do so on their own.

      • When it changes: The only friend they’ve made along the way needs to die to find what’s lost.

RONLIND (RONNIE) ~ Has the vibes of someone in their late 20s or early 30s (age has no meaning to him any longer), Any Race (but probably not white), Any Gender (but probably male)

  • Ronlind has withstood the tests of time (literally) and is an extremely competent helper to the gods he serves. Organized beyond comprehension within the limitless, timeless space he must hold together. He is reliable yet stubborn, an immovable object that is only nudged when caught off-guard by his emotions.

    • Ronlind used to be human, but has since decayed and reformed into something beyond such boundaries.

    • He is skeptical because his human life has taught him to be. He is rational because his responsibilities call for it. He is comforting because it’s what he craves himself.

THE TIME GODS: They all find themselves caring a bit too much about Ronlind.

AMBROSI ~ Ageless, Genderless, Figments of Being

  • A Time God; is characterized as a large, dark, shadowy form. Their voice is overlaid by many, dark and gritty.

  • Lawful; time moves forward and never back; unbending unless convinced there is use and merit in such nonsense

DARI ~ Ageless, Genderless, Figments of Being

  • A Time God; the epitome of a pile of sand swirls. Their voice is light and airy but echoes as they speak, which can be somewhat unsettling.

  • Chaotic; curious as to where time has the potential to go; playful in the duties that some may consider multiverse altering

NEO ~ Ageless, Genderless, Figments of Being

  • A Time God; the godly personification of a burst of light. Their voice is warm, but commanding.

  • Neutral; time is balanced and maintaining that delicate nature is key; there is room for deviation and error just as there is room for unity and precise accuracy

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
